This depends on the amount and type of training that your company provides to its employees. If you need to monitor which employees have successfully completed a range of courses in support of their job role, then an LMS will help you to maintain and report on that information.

A learning management system (LMS) is a software application used for delivering, tracking and managing training. They come in many shapes and forms, from simple systems for managing training records to more complex software for distributing courses over the Internet and offering features for online collaboration. Our TalentCX® Learning Management System is a feature-rich, Internet based, application that can be configured and client-branded. It is designed to support a wide-range library of high-quality courses from a variety of top providers. The system manages all training records, regardless of how the training is delivered. The TalentCX focus is on learning outcomes.

Web-based training is an affordable substitute for, or complement to, traditional classroom-based training, video or CD-ROM. Web-based training is delivered over the internet or corporate intranet. Any computer with access to the Internet or a corporate intranet can access online courses delivered via a Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. For effective learning to occur, courses must be designed specifically for online delivery. That means incorporating interactive exercises that engage learners and enhance the learning process within a Learning Management System which can support and track the learning experience. TalentCX?s leading product is a web based Learning Management System.

A learning content management system (LCMS) is a related technology to the learning management system (LMS), in that it is focused on the development, management and publishing of the content that will typically be delivered via an LMS. An LCMS is a multi-user environment where developers may create, store, reuse, manage, and deliver digital learning content from a central object repository. The LMS cannot create and manipulate courses; it cannot reuse the content of one course to build another. The LCMS, however, can create, manage and deliver not only training modules but also manage and edit all the individual pieces that make up a catalogue of training. LCMS applications allow users to create, import, manage, search for and reuse small units or 'chunks' of digital learning content/assets, commonly referred to as.

Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is an XML-based framework used to define and access information about learning objects so they can be easily shared among different learning management systems (LMS). SCORM was developed in response to a U.S. Department of Defence (DOD) initiative to promote standardization in eLearning.

The TalentCX® LMS supports SCORM 1.1, SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004. What this means for your project is that we can assist you in the design and development of your training content so that it can easily be used within any SCORM compliant LMS.

The term "AICC Compliant" means that a training product complies with one or more of the nine AICC Guidelines & Recommendations (AGR's). Since there are 11 different AGR's, "AICC compliance" can mean different things as there are 11 different possibilities to "comply" with. The most common meaning of "AICC compliance" (when associated with Computer Based Training [CBT] courseware or Computer Managed Instruction [CMI] systems) is compliance with the AICC documents AGR-006 (File-based CMI Systems) or AGR-010 (Web-based CMI Systems). These AGRs define the communication between CMI systems and CBT courseware. The AICC has developed formal certification testing procedures for both AGR-006 and AGR-010 and currently offers AGR-006/AGR-010 certification testing for CMI systems and CBT courseware. Note that the use of the term "AICC-compliant" is discouraged by the AICC as it is somewhat confusing and infers that the AICC has in some way endorsed or verified compliance. Officially, the AICC prefers the use of the term "Designed to AICC Guidelines" if the product was self-tested or "AICC Certified" if the product was certified by an AICC-authorized Independent Test Lab.

The TalentCX® LMS is designed to AICC guidelines. What this means for your project is that we can assist you in the design and development of your training content so that it can easily be used within any LMS that is designed to AICC guidelines or AICC Certified system.

The TalentCX® LMS can be implemented as a hosted or as an in-house solution. Most organizations have installed network protection systems, commonly referred to as firewalls, to increase the security of their internal networks. Firewalls are not a hindrance to the deployment of an e-learning solution. However, in some organisations the network configuration may need to be fine-tuned. TalentCX will always work with your organisations IT department to resolve any firewall issues, as part of the TalentCX® LMS implementation.

Web-based training can be just as effective as classroom training, and take half the time to complete at a fraction of the price.

HR software typically manages the organisation's employee records and contains details about the person, the job which they have within the organisation and their performance history. These records may also include some training records, but rarely the detailed data needed to provide something like regulatory compliance reporting. For example HR software may store records of courses successfully completed by an employee but not the details of which questions were answered incorrectly or those that were missed.

The staff at TalentCX® will work with your HR software to provide the detailed training data required to support your organisational training needs. We would, as part of the LMS implementation within your organisation, work with your IT resources to enable the integration of TalentCX® LMS and your HR system.

Yes you can create your own courses which we would then assist you in loading onto our TalentCX® LMS. Our LMS is designed to support these standards. However, if you have any special course design requirements we would be happy to work with you in identifying the most cost efficient way of loading these onto TalentCX®.

The best way to get started with eLearning in your organisation is to get together with a reputable eLearning provider. TalentCX is one of these reputable eLearning providers and would in the first instance consult with you to identify your current situation but also what you would like to move towards (your training requirements).

The first step is to get together some stakeholders within your organisation - subject matter experts, someone from your Marketing area, an IT person etc. We would then meet and consult with the stakeholders and identify all the information we require to provide you with a written Concept paper or proposal.

TalentCX offers two standard models for organisations and your choice will depend on how many staff, what LMS modules are required and your corporate purchasing practices. Contracts are generally of three-years duration in the first instance. Licensing models include:

Broadband internet connection is recommended for the most satisfying experience but some clients use dial-up access for some of their employees. The LMS can be configured to check an employee's bandwidth and advise on what courses will run effectively over his or her connection.

The TalentCX® LMS has been tested extensively with the industry standard browser Internet Explorer v6.0 and above however Safari and Mozilla are effective. Some courseware may require plug-in such as flash. Testing against your 'Standard Operating Environment' is part of our implementation process.

As part of our consultation with you, we outline exactly how much time we anticipate each step of the implementation will take. Most of your time is required in the early stage of the project as we jointly define your LMS requirements and gather the information about the courses that you wish to provide for your learners. However it is our experience that a period of between three and six months is most cost-effective. Typically we would require time from a Project Manager, your subject matter experts, key stakeholders, an IT contact and someone from your marketing area in order to identify and document your special requirements.

It is really dependant on some variables such as;
  • How many of the standard modules do you want switched on
  • The types and quantity of course you want loaded into TalentCX® LMS
  • What interfaces you require to other databases such as your HR database, print providers etc.
  • How complex are your branding requirements, to mention some.
